The handover of UCIMU president Massimo Carboniero to his successor Barbara Colombo was held at the Annual Meeting of the Italian Association of Machine Tool, Robot and Automation Manufacturers. The event was also an opportunity for the outgoing President to take stock of the situation in the manufacturing sector severely affected by the COVID-19 emergency.
"With the optimism of reason", said Carboniero, Italian entrepreneurs look with confidence at the forecasts of the most prestigious world agencies that indicate a resumption of investments starting from 2021, the year in which the global demand for machine tools should grow a rate greater than 15%.
